Originally developed as part of a Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama patch program called Change of Mind coordinated by ADMH’s Office of Public Information & Community Relations, this presentation is relevant for people of all ages who want to learn more about mental illness. The focus is on explaining what a mental illness is, the six functions of the brain, how mental illness affects the brain, what causes a mental illness and treatment of mental illnesses.
