On October 1, 2013, major changes in the training curriculum
and training requirements for medication assistance certified
(MAC) workers, and medication assistance supervising (MAS)
nurses will be implemented. These changes will affect both
MAS-trained nurses and agency administrators. A mandatory
training update for MAS Nurses is required and must be completed
by October 31, 2013. Administrators in charge of nurse delegation programs must review the
